Egyptian hieroglyphs

W.A.L.T upload our reading task and write about it.

Today we had to create poster or a slide about Egyptian hieroglyphs and i went in a group with Caleb,
we had to add What are Egyptian hieroglyphs? and How do you decipher Egyptian Hieroglyphs? We chose to do a slide.

My favourite part was choosing the backgrounds and fonts because it was interesting.

My least favourite part was writing because it was boring and it took forever.

Decimal Quiz

For the last few days we have been working on a decimal quiz, we have been learning a lot about decimals like decimal sorting and lots more.
My favourite part was adding the gifs because it was cool and interesting to look at lots of different ones.
My least favourite part was doing the hyperlinking because it took forever.

Writing

Yesterday we did had to do free writing and we had to look at a picture that the teacher gave us and it had a story starter for us so we had to so we had to continue the story.

"Bob tied his boat off and started to climb the cliffs. He knew that no one had lived to tell what was behind the clouds."
As bob keep climbing he notices a movement in the tree's and grass,
he ducks down and it seems to be a...
mythical creature with one big red spot on her back, three legs, one arm and one huge head
she's so cute and fluffy but deadly. Bob decides to write it to the ferocious top.
they finally get to the top "Oh no "shouts Bob it's a volcano in it's about to explode "run!"
As the lava bolts down the mountain the mythical creature which Bob name Red back she hates water but but pusses her in pushes her in and they swim to there boat, and drives off into the sunset.

Sorting decimals

W.A.L.T upload my work and write about it.

Last week we had match some decimals to the pictures, fractions and words that the teacher made for us. I got them all correct after that we had to create our own sorting decimals for a buddy.
I found moving all the boxes challenging because you had to keep going back.
I most enjoyed finding the matching boxes because you where using your brain a lot.

'My name is Rez' bullied part

I .A.L.T to upload my learning tasks to my blog and write about them.

Yesterday we had to write a significant event in the story and i chose Rez being bullied because i felt sorry for her and if I went to her school i would be her friend and soon as she came to school.
Then we had to write about that significant event in the story.

Here's mine below.

‘My name is Rez’ is a story about a young girl who has been made a refugee due to war and fighting going on in her homeland in Kurdistan. There was a very significant event that happened that I'm going to write about.
When her and her family had to move to New Zealand, she went to a new school and she had to learn another language, English. The only thing she can say in english is my name is Rez and all the kids at school teased her and bullied her. They called her a robot.

I chose to write about this event because I enjoyed reading about it the most.
I felt very sorry for Rez. I can't imagine what it would be like to get bullied all the time, If I went to her school i would be her friend the day she arrived.

I continued reading and found that she found a friend and that made me very happy.
My favourite part was adding my learning intention because it was fun!
My least favourite part was adding the W.A.L.T because it was boring.

Today I read a book called ' My name is Rez'. After we read the story we had to make a vocabulary poster 
 about unfamiliar or interesting words in the text, we were given three words that miss Thompson chose for us, then we had to choose our own three words for our self.
